You no longer need to listen to music through your earphones. Plus, you can share your music much more easily. Finally, there's a Walkman for people who don't like using a head set constantly.

With my first Sony Walkman, all those years ago, it was cool - I could really record songs from the radio right to the tape player. Additionally, today you can record anything you wish, from any source. Music, lectures, speeches, whatever. You aren't stuck with merely the radio.

This excellent device comes with a nice, well-lit 2.4-inch view screen, terrific for viewing videos. Another terrific feature is this Walkman's acceptance of various video formats, so no more searching all over for just the right file converter.

Still another great feature is the alarm clock that's built right into the Sony S-544. How neat is this if you want a quick nap, but can't chance oversleeping? And I haven't even mentioned the neat sleep timer for when you want to doze off while listening.

One of the best features that I love is the battery. You can listen for 42 hours of music without having to charge up the unit. Plus, you can play about 6 1/2 hrs of video without needing to charge the unit again. How's that for time between battery recharging?

In addition, Sony NWZ S544 8 GB Walkman Video MP3 Player comes in a variety of colors including black, pink, red and violet. Also, you can select between 8 or 16 GB, depending on what you want. As a matter of fact, the 8 GB Sony S-544 player can be purchased for less than $99. This is a really good deal, when you consider that an 8GB iPod nano goes for roughly $199.

In any event, if you're looking to save money but still find a top of the line MP3 player, the Sony S-544 Walkman could be exactly what you're looking for.
